Boys Varsity Football · Varsity Football Finishes Regular Season Strong and Playoff Bound!

Last night our Patriots traveled to Liberty for the last regular season game. It was an important battle for both teams as they set their place in the playoffs. Powdersville came up with a big win over the Red Devils 28-7.

The offense started off strong going up 14-0 with two big touchdowns from freshman Thomas Williams. The offense continued to plug away with the help of Sophomore QB Clay Davis and senior Joe McGuff.

The defense came up really big last night holding Liberty to just one touchdown and shutting them out in the second half. Senior Connor Graham had a pick six to add a defensive touchdown and junior Caden Beck snatched three interceptions adding another pick six to the total touchdowns for the Patriots last night. Our defensive line pressured the Liberty quarterback nonstop throughout the game allowing our DBs to make some great defensive plays.

Caden Beck went four for four on extra points to extend the score and win the game 28-7. The Patriots finish the region 3-2 and will travel to Broome High School for the first round of playoffs next Friday night at 7:30.

Way to finish strong!
