Powdersville defeated Berea 11-0 on Thursday as two senior pitchers, Kyle Peters and Kyle Conklin combined for a one hit shutout.
The Patriots put up three runs in the fourth, and five runs in the fifth inning to pull away from the Bulldogs for good.
Peters earned the win for Powdersville by tossing four innings, striking out six and allowing only one hit. Conklin threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen striking out 3 Bulldogs himself.
Hunter Jeter led the Patriot offense collecting 3 hits, 2 of which were doubles. 4 other Patriots tallied a hit, and Clay Davis delivered by driving in 2 runs.
Powdersville will take the field again on Monday for their first game of the Bear Invitational Spring Break Tournament. The Patriots will take on Westside at Crescent. First pitch is scheduled for 4:30.
