Congratulations to Powdersville Varsity Girls Basketball on their 45-35 victory at Easley in a non-region game on Thursday, December 7, 2017. Lady Patriots were down as much as 14-2 in the first quarter and steadily worked their way to the lead and the victory. At the end of the first quarter, Easley was ahead 14-9. Lady Patriots took the lead 17-16 with 2:25 remaining in the second period. By the half, Powdersville was up 20-18. The game remained close into the final period. With 6:30 remaining, Lady Patriots led by five points. Powdersville maintained control and expanded their margin for the remainder of the game for the 45-35 victory.

Mikaela McDaniel led the Lady Patriots with 20 points, with Jeanette Campbell adding 14. Powdersville, 3-2 overall, hosts Crescent on Friday, December 8, for another non-region game at 6:00 pm. Lady Patriots won comfortably when the two teams played last week. #OneTeamOneDream #GoPatriots!

Powdersville Varsity Boys Basketball fell at Easley 52-50 in a non-region game on Thursday, December 7, 2017. Powdersville led at the half 23-20, then Easley inched ahead by one at the end of the third period and won the game by two points, 52-50. Close game against a AAAAA team!

Congratulations to Powdersville JV Boys Basketball on defeating BHP 61-51 in overtime in Honea Path on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. Powdersville led 39-29 at the half, and BHP battled their way back to tie the score 50-50 at the end of regulation. Patriots found the bottom of the basket repeatedly in overtime for the 61-50 victory. So exciting!!

Camden Troyer led the Patriots with 18 points while Jay Adams added 17 and David Cordle 13. Tonight’s game was the JV’s last one before Christmas holidays. Patriots will return in 2018, hosting BHP on Wednesday, January 3, at 7:15 pm. #OneTeamOneDream #GoPatriots!

Powdersville Varsity Boys Basketball fell to Wren 70-62 at home in a non-region game on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Wren took an early lead and enjoyed a 17 point-margin at half-time. Patriots outscored the Hurricanes in the second half, and Wren held on for the 70-62 victory.
