So Close! Powdersville JV Boys Basketball fell 34-32 at home to Pendleton Monday, January 8, 2019. Pendleton led 8-7 at the end of the first quarter, and Powdersville took a four-point lead, 15-11, by the half. Patriots extended their margin to nine, 25-16, by the end of the third quarter, and Pendleton battled back in the final period to tie the game 31-31 with two minutes remaining. Pendleton led by one with 18 seconds on the clock and added a point from the charity stripe. Patriots were able to get off a last second shot, but Pendleton’s defense prevailed for the two-point win. What an intense game!
Freshman Kidd Brizek led the Patriots with 12 points. Powdersville JV (5-6 overall, 1-1 in the region) travels to Seneca on Thursday, January 10, at 7:00 pm. Play tough, Patriots! MakingHistoryEverySeason! #GoPatriots!
