Congratulations to Powdersville JV Boys Basketball on their 61-45 victory over Liberty at home on Monday, February 4, 2019. Powdersville led 33-22 at the half and 50-39 at the end of the third quarter. Patriots extended their margin in the final period for the 16-point win. Way to finish, Patriots!
The game-before-the-game was the most fun for fans as Manager Ethan Watson, dressed out as #34 for the first time, received the ball from the tip-off, and shot until he put it in the basket. Watson’s megawatt smile was enough to energize the whole building. Patriot fans went wild while officials reset the game with another tip-off. What a memory-making night!!
Sophomore Jacob Moore led the Patriots with 13 points with freshman Kidd Brizek and sophomore Jack Hardy each adding 11. Powdersville JV finished their season with records of 10-8 overall and 7-3 in the region. “Our players continued to get better daily,” commented JV Boys Coach Austin Anderson. “These guys created a bond that means much more than wins and losses.” Best wishes to these young athletes as they move on to spring sports, club ball, and other activities. Looking forward to the contributions these young players will make to the Powdersville Basketball in the years ahead! MakingHistoryEverySeason! #GoPatriots!
