Congratulations to Powdersville Varsity Boys Basketball on their 56-46 win over Belton-Honea Path at home on Thursday, December 20, 2018. Powdersville took the lead in the second quarter and maintained it down the stretch for the victory.
BHP led 14-13 at the end of the first quarter. By the half, Powdersville had taken the lead and built up a six-point, 25-19 margin. Patriots extended their lead in the third quarter to 38-27. BHP challenged in the final period, narrowing the gap to one point 41-40 with 4:14 remaining. Junior Draylan Burton drew a foul on a drive, made the basket and swished the and-one free throw to push the Patriots up 44-40. From that point, Powdersville rolled on to the 56-46 victory. Way to go, Patriots!
