PLAYOFF ROUND 2 WIN! Congratulations to Powdersville Varsity Volleyball on their 3-1 victory over Chesnee at home on Monday, October 29, 2018. Lady Patriots won 25-12, 25-12, 17-25, and 25-16 to advance to the third round of Class AAA Playoffs. After Powdersville came out strong in the first two sets., Chesnee took the lead early in the third and built on their momentum to come back 2-1. Powdersville rallied in the fourth, coming from behind 3-4 and extending their margin as the set progressed to win 25-16.

Junior Reagan Davis served three aces, dived for 14 digs, and added 18 assists. Senior Kate Hardy racked up nine digs and 22 assists, while senior Aspen Ridder contributed 19 digs and 18 serve receives. Senior Savannah Roberts hit 10 kills with two solo blocks and two block assists. Sophomore Olivia Knutson served two aces, hit nine kills, and made three block assists. Sophomore Grace O’Neill hit seven kills while freshman Megan Carpenter hit five kills, with one solo block and three block assists. Junior Lexi Albright served one ace, dived for 10 digs, received 15 serves, hit 17 kills, and made one block assist.

With the win, Powdersville (21-1 overall, 10-0 in the region) becomes one of the “Elite Eight” teams competing in the third round of playoffs. Lady Patriots will host Indian Land on Wednesday, October 31, at 6pm. Indian Land won Region IV and defeated Pendleton and Broome in earlier playoff matches.
